Travel Requirements
Travel Requirements
The listed in-person speaking fee covers engagements located within 40 miles of Decatur, Georgia. For engagements beyond this local service area, the hosting organization is responsible for approved travel expenses in addition to the speaking fee.
Travel expenses may include:
- Round-trip coach airfare
- Mileage at the current IRS business mileage rate
- Hotel accommodations at the conference hotel or comparable property
- Ground transportation or rental car
- Tolls and parking
- Meals and incidental expenses based on the applicable GSA destination rate
- Additional lodging when the event schedule requires arrival the previous day or departure the following morning
Travel must either be booked directly by the hosting organization or prepaid before travel arrangements are finalized.

Booking and Payment
A signed speaking agreement and 50% of the speaking fee are required to reserve the event date. The remaining speaking fee is due no later than seven days before the engagement.
Travel expenses must be booked directly by the hosting organization or paid in advance. An event date is not confirmed until the signed agreement and initial payment have been received.
Recording, livestreaming, promotional appearances, breakout sessions, additional workshops and extended event participation may require an additional fee.
